What does ‘very near alert’ mean?

My Garmin Lily made a lot of noise and there was a notification ‘very near alert’ with the symbol of a telephone. What does this mean?

It sounds like the Find My Phone feature was enabled. This would cause the watch to provide alerts such as "Near" and "Very Near" to help guide the owner to their phone.
