I’ve been wearing my new Lily 2 for 3 days. On two days now after I’ve saved an activity the HR monitor stops working and I have to reset the watch to make it start again.
I’m using software version 5.1.0.21.

I got in touch with Garmin and explained what was happening. They were very helpful and replaced my watch for me. I’ve had the new one for a day and so far it’s been working absolutely fine.
I have had this exact same problem. I got my watch on Mother’s Day and had my first issue ion July 4. I got my watch working again by attaching to charger (even though I had plenty of battery) but now just 1 week later it’s happening again. Maybe I reach out to Garminnas well.

My replacement watch was fine until yesterday. I didn’t realise until this morning that it wasn’t monitoring my HR, but there was no sleep score available so it had an issue some time last night. I put it right by resetting it and it’s worked today.
