Can my Lily measure open water swims?

I tried to Measure an open water swim, using the ‘Other’ activity option and it measured time not distance. Is that because there is no inbuilt GPS?

Thanks, that’s disappointing. When I bought it I didn’t realise there was no GPS.

There are several models in the Health & Wellness category that do not have built-in GPS. They use the Connected GPS feature.

I use that for cycling (and the app normally prompts me to change settings) so thank you, I’ll try that next time.
