Lily distance inaccurate

So I got the Lily as I wanted something more feminine, but I am noticing that the distance walked is just wrong.

Custom stride length doesn't seem to fix anything and it seems like the watch is just not taking it into account. Is this fixable and if yes, how?

Note that I am not using gps and I am measuring stride for 10m several times to get consistent records.

According to Garmin, I have s stride length of about 1.04 based on it's calculations here, so why do we even have custom stride as an option?

Or am I missing a super important button that I need to press to get this to actually be applied?

Thanks!

  • I am having a similar problem. I have not entered a custom stride length but I am using the GPS on runs and the distances are VERY off. I have tracked 5 runs on both the Lily and a separate app and then gotten home and measured out the distance on google maps and every time the Lily is off a surprisingly large amount.... super annoying.

  • Right? I actually noticed that the distance for total steps per day were 5km for 7000 steps on one day, and on the very next I had about 8000 steps and it said 11km!! Hahahah, I think this is the last Garmin I use, but I have no idea what brand to turn to that will actually provide reliable products. It's very sad that my phone is better at counting steps than a fitness watch.
