Gestures not working on my new Lily

Quite literally just received my watch earlier today and the gestures do not work. The only way to look at the time is by tapping on the screen. Gestures sensitivity setting are on high, always on.

This makes the watch quite literally useless. There is no use for a watch that requires tapping in order to see the time. And what's even more disappointing is the fact that so many people have faced the exact same issue with this watch and the issue continues.

Returning it because it makes no sense to have to take extra steps in order to see the time. And Garmin only provides one useless response.

  • Just having the same problem and kept reading the answers which is the very same as the one provided for Bluetooth disconnection too, "Garmin express" . NOT HELPFUL! Really disappointed. I had a very cheap Huawei smart watch for three years and never ever faced these problems. Really disappointing..

  • And the fact that these problems haven't been solved in at least three years (considering forum questions! ) makes the situation really annoying.

  • I had to reset the watch and attach to the charger. Then it started being responsive again. Agree this is a ridiculous situation for a relatively expensive watch.

  • I'm also having this same issue - a month of working fine and suddenly Gesture will not work. I am also no longer receiving any text notifications - I still get all other notifications just fine, and settings are correct, but texts stopped coming through. Pretty pathetic compared to my $80 smart watch I had for years before...
