Garmin lily freezing up

Former Member

I purchased a new Garmin Lily Sporting in April this year (2022). When on holiday in Spain I noticed that the screen appeared to have gone blank and the green lights measuring heart rate were not flashing when I was walking around without tracking an activity. Tapping it didn't turn it back on and in the end taking it off and waving it around eventually brought it back to life. This happened on several occasions and I suspected it was something to do with it being exposed to bright light. Yesterday I was wandering round town in the UK and I experienced the sane problem. This time I tested it out and when it was frozen in full sunlight moved to the shade and found it turned back on. Any suggestions how to fix this issue. Thanks

  • I have the same problem.

My garmin lily screen keeps turning off when it is in direct sunlight. It doesn't record my steps during this time which is very frustrating.  It comes back on itself when I go in the shade for several minutes.

I have the current update through garmin connect

I live in Australia so it happens a lot.

    Is this a hardware issue?

    Please fix this issue, Garmin.
