@Garmin BUG! Watch get stuck in strength training during pause between sets during reps since 5.04

When doing a strength workout the watch often gets stuck after pausing when trying to swipe the reps. This was never the case before 5.04 ... I pause my training then want to set the correct number of reps which are often wrong in the beginning, the watch does nothing. timer of pause moves on but you can't swipe, it just gets stuck, after maybe 30 seconds the time screen appears with no possibility to change reps anymore. Bug since 5.04, never before...

Please correct this bug...

  • Hello,

The most effective step is to officially report this to the watch manufacturer (likely Garmin, based on the search result). They are typically the only ones who can issue a fix in a future software update. You can usually do this through their official support channels or product forums. Since the bug was introduced in 5.04, check if a newer firmware version (e.g., 5.05, 5.10, etc.) has been released that may contain a fix.

For some watches, users have mentioned that adjusting settings like "Rep Count Adjustment" or "Weight Adjustment" might behave differently depending on whether you use the touchscreen or physical buttons. It's a long shot, but you could try:

    Restarting the watch.

Seeing if you can use a physical button (like the 'Back/Lap' button) to advance or confirm the set/reps during the pause, rather than a swipe. If your watch supports it, using the "Free Training" strength activity, rather than a pre-planned workout, might bypass the faulty rep-correction screen during the rest period.
