Frozen

Watch froze today on the Workout Complete screen, as I finished a run (but before it has synced to my phone). It's currently restarting (press and hold top button for 30 seconds), but I assume I've lost the workout data.

What is likely to have caused this and how do I prevent it in future?

Watch was updated to the latest firmware 2 days ago. No further updates available.

I have the same problem after strength workouts, but not after any other type of workout. When I end the exercise, the watch just says workout complete and freezes there. The haptics work and the text shows…

I have the same problem after strength workouts, but not after any other type of workout. When I end the exercise, the watch just says workout complete and freezes there. The haptics work and the text shows on screen. The only way for me to recover the watch is to connect it to my mac with the cable. The problem has occurred after the latest version update.

So mine is the same - text on screen, haptics, but otherwise completely frozen.

It's just done it again this evening. Again at the end of a run. Very annoying.

Thank you all for interacting on this thread. Are you able to consistently reproduce this issue? (ie you can start the timer, stop and save and experience this) Does it happen after saving any kind of activity? did this start after updating to 4.05?

Thanks, Maeve. Yes, with any workout, it crashes upon workout completion. Both running and cycling. It does not crash for non-workouts. I've raised a ticket with support earlier this evening (a helpful chap called Luke) and have shared a video of the crashing.

This has happened for all workouts since upgrading from 3.02 to 4.05, and did not happen before.

It has happened twice with the strength workout for me, after the 4.05 update. Other workout types work fine, yoga and dance. I do planned strength workouts with timed sets and rests, so I’m wondering if the issue is with those?

I am also having this same issue. It has happened atleast 3 times after completing a Garmin Coach workout

Same here, after last update. Have already reported. Only happens when I complete a strength training workout that I have created in Connect. No problem with tracking walking. Happened after last update.

same thing happened to me after completing a Garmin Coach workout for a 10k. and got stuck on 'workout complete'. i then connected it to the charger and it got out of it. It's brand new and just got it yesterday.

Mine is doing this exact same thing as well, even when I connect it to the charger it won’t reset. It’s just stuck on “workout complete”. Super frustrating
