Sleep Index stopped syncing yesterday and can't be added to the Connect App today

Similar to others, the device started reporting very low sleep scores about a week or two ago and has become somewhat flaky, as I've had 2-3 nights without any sleep score at all, despite some metrics like HRV still appearing in the app. This morning the device would not sync at all with my phone, despite having spent all of yesterday on the charger, and now that I think about it, I don't remember any feedback/haptics last night when I put it on. I finally decided to try and disconnect/reconnect it to my account tonight, and now despite having put it in pairing mode, my phone is not able to see or add the device - the Index is flashing purple (really the LED is white, not sure why it says purple everywhere), but my Connect app just spins and spins an spins searching for it.
