No Pulse Ox fields in Garmin Connect

This is my first night using the device, and I see no Pulse Ox field in Garmin Connect.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

Device software:

Host: 3.70
SNS: 35.10
WHR: 21.01.00
BMX: 21.01.00
SoftDevice: 7.00.02

EDIT: Do I need to have the "Blood Ox" option on my watch set to track during sleep, for the Sleep Monitor to do so?
(I won't have the watch on during sleep)

  • I would be surprised if the feature was geo-locked.  On the Garmin App pulse ox is located on more (the three dots) > health stats > pulse ox.

  • Odd.  I just looked at my screen and I have PulseOx between Calories In/Out and Respiration.  Are you running the latest version of the app?  Maybe a call or email to Garmin support is needed.

  • The app seems to be up-to-date as far as the Play Store is concerned.

    The version no. is: 5.16.2

EDIT: Yes, I have sent them an email; no response yet.. I will post an update if and when they do.

  • Odd.  I have a field for Average Sp02 and and lowest Sp02 when I look at my sleep stats from the ISM,  And I double checked my watch and I PulseOx set to 'On Demand'.  I am also running the same version of the software that you.

Here's an idea.  Turn PulseOx on on your watch tonight and confirm that pulse ox is being recorded.  The fields should then, I hope, populate in the Garmin Connect app.

Another possibility is did you customize the GC app to omit listing PulseOx on the menu?

  • Blood Oxygen history

I performed a "Blood Oxygen" activity on my watch right now, that made a measurement, and I can see a history of individual previous measurements (on the watch). So there's no issue as far as the watch is concerned.

I haven't customized the GC app to remove the PUlse Ox listing.. I don't think I know how I could do that.

  • Hmm.  I am kind of running out of ideas here.  My last idea is do you have access to a VPN?  You mentioned you are in Japan.  Maybe use a VPN to link up to a server in the US and then sync your phone.  Maybe, if the feature is geo-locked, when you sync your phone via the VPN to the US it will unlock whatever is blocking you from getting the pulse ox feature.

Based on everything you have shared, you are doing the same thing I am with my 265.

What I find really odd though is that you are missing the pulse ox options on your screen.  Per my comment above, those should be there.  Will be interesting to see what Garmin comes back with.

  • I tried doing what you suggested with Google's VPN (not sure where their servers are), and post syncing, nothing has changed.

I'll wait for Garmin support to reply.

  • So support got back to me an told me that the issue is with the Garmin account's region and language being set to Japan and English. When I switched the region to a country with English support, and synced my data again, it shows Pulse Ox!

  • Hey. That's great news! Glad to hear Garmin support was able to help you.  I find it strange that region was the issue.  I'd have though Pulse Ox would be a feature available in Japan too.  Interesting.  Anyway. Glad everything worked out for you.

I've been using the ISM for three weeks now and it has become part of my regular night routine.  No complaints thus far.
