Does the sleep monitor have a microphone? Can it detect snoring? It has this tiny hole on the side .. what is that?

The device does not have a microphone, nor is it capable of detecting snoring. I am not sure what the purpose of the tiny hole is, however if it was of significance to the devices performance it would be described in the manual, which it is not.
