Morning report with Index Sleep?

Guys, do you get the morning report on you watch when you are sleeping with Index Sleep?

I mean, when I wake up I do browse through sleep time&quality, HRV and body batterry on my epix? Will I get the data from Index Sleep uploaded?

  • Hello!

The morning report should indeed contain input from the Index Sleep Monitor. However, there is a catch. The data from the Index Sleep Monitor needs to by synced to Garmin Connect prior to the morning report being built. There are two ways to force a sync

    1) You can go into Garmin Connect > Settings > Garmin Devices > Index Sleep Monitor  and hit the sync button in the upper right

    2) Open the app and then turn the Index Sleep Monitor inside out with the back of the sensor exposed

  • Hi , thanks for your response. Should I understand the answer as "No, unless..." I force both devices to sync prior.. actually what? As I notices my mornning report builds somewhen in the morning. I can even check the report before waking up (finally) now.

    So the usual scenario like:

    1) I wake up

    2) I put my watch on my wrist

    3) I put the index sleep aside

    4) I check the morning report on watch

    ...won't work?

As I understand, the index sleep will sync automatically when be put off the arm, assuming phone being in range. But the question, when will my Epix sync with the backend to get the data?

  • Hello - I always turn mine ISM inside out when I take it off and never have issues with it syncing. However, your point  about the timing of the Epix sync is a good one. The watch would have to sync with the app after the ISM and prior to the morning report being shown for the data to be included in the report.
