Poll Question: How many ppl own and going to buy Index Sleep Monitor?

  • As long as you can not combine it with your watch, it is useless to me. I can still not fathom way Garmin is not enabling the use of both devices at the same time. Unless there is no advantage at all to wear the band over the watch.

  • what do you mean cannot combine index sleep monitor with watch ? Isn't the sleep monitor (night data) and garmin watch data (day data) can be sync into Garmin Connect for monitoring ?  Hope you can clarify ...

  • I still want to wear my watch during the night because I don't want to search for it on the nightstand and when I get up up, I want to use the flashlight without a need to strap the watch to my wrist. According to Garmin, you can't wear your watch while wearing the band.

  • oh... but from my understanding .. you can still wear your watch and band at night, only thing is GC will pick up the sleep monitor data at night but not watch, so you should still able to use your "Torch" watch at night. Someone can confirm this if I am wrong.

  • According to Garmin, you are wrong (Go to my post; Seems half baked and see for yourself...

We appreciate you sharing this feedback and giving us insight to your opinion on what is most useful to you. The Index Sleep Monitor is not designed to be used in the manner that you have specifically described, as it is meant to be worn in-place of one of our watch products for users who are either unable, or uninterested in sleeping in with a watch on. This may also be of use to other customers who have say an Edge cycling computer only and would like to gather additional sleep information that those products cannot track.

This product is designed and built for a specific use and function and we do understand this will not be the best solution for all users. All the same, we sincerely thank you for the feedback.

  • You are wrong either. According to Garmin...

    Hello

The Index Sleep Monitor is intended for individuals who prefer not to wear their watch to bed. The Index Sleep Monitor can help fill in the gaps. It provides the sleep data needed for a more complete picture of your training metrics, including training readiness, recovery time and more. If you wear a compatible Garmin smartwatch during the day or a heart rate monitor during workouts, your data will seamlessly sync via Garmin Connect for more insight into your health and fitness.

All of your Garmin wearables (Garmin Watch, Heart Rate Monitor, Index Sleep Monitor) can sync into a single Garmin Connect account, as well as the Garmin Index S2 Smart Scale and Index BPM Blood Pressure Monitor, for more insight into your health and fitness.

  • Nope...I am not. But you don't seem to understand the concept: You can not wear them át the same time...but of course will they complement each other. If that was your initial question, than you have to be more specific.
