Wearing both sleep monitor and Fenix 5s at night

I still want to be able to wear my watch at night - for things like the torch, reading the time and receiving notifications.

Since my watch doesn't have PulseOx or Respiration tracking I'm hoping the sleep monitor will fill in some of the gaps.

So my question is can I wear both.

  • Yes you can wear both. As I read your watch overwriting all data except pulseOx and respiration because it’s your primary device.

  • According to Garmin, you can NOT! I asked the same question...

"We appreciate you sharing this feedback and giving us insight to your opinion on what is most useful to you. The Index Sleep Monitor is not designed to be used in the manner that you have specifically described, as it is meant to be worn in-place of one of our watch products for users who are either unable, or uninterested in sleeping in with a watch on. This may also be of use to other customers who have say an Edge cycling computer only and would like to gather additional sleep information that those products cannot track.

This product is designed and built for a specific use and function and we do understand this will not be the best solution for all users. All the same, we sincerely thank you for the feedback."
