Does the additional user show up in the Manage Users screen in Garmin Connect?
You can check by opening the app and going to More > Garmin Devices > Tap the scale listing and going to Manage Users
If they are listed I would recommend taking a measurement and then tapping the scale to change the user, you may have to tap 15-20 times but their initials should eventually appear
If they are not listed, something has gone wrong with the process of Adding or Removing Additional Users to an Index Smart Scale. Please revisit that process.

The additional user does appear that is not the problem. The problem is that they are only given Weight and BMI..no other metrics which is why I'm concerned the product is faulty. I'm also concerned because it appears many other users are also having the same issue. Can you advise anything else we can try.
If the user initials are not immediately recognized the scale will only display those two metrics. While admittedly it is kind of a pain, repeatedly tapping the foot after the measurement will force the scale to look through all the user "slots" on the scale. Once the user profile is found the other metrics should start to populate. It is a one time process that shouldn't be necessary a second time. If that doesn't resolve the issue, you will need to call support.
I have the same issue. I already tested many times to add/remove the extra user, to unlink and link again the Index 2 but the problem is still there. No metrics beside weight and BMI for the extra user. Checked the software version, checked with another garmin connect app for another user but nothing happen. I am very disappointed by this product
This worked for another forum user - Please have the additional user go into Garmin Connect > More > Garmin Devices > Tap the listing for the Index S2 > Choose User settings > Make sure that Gender, Height, and Activity Class are all populated correctly, (It would be beneficial to update everything, but those at minimum) If they are already correct please contact Garmin Support for the most efficient and detailed assistance
