Second user unable to pair to Index S2 Smart Scales

My husband has purchased the Index S2 Smart Scales. He has connected and invited me as a second user. I have accepted the invitation, however, my IOS device will not pair with the Scales. I have tried resetting - the Scales are recognised by my IOS but things proceed no further. I have applied all the troubleshouting suggestions. Very frustrating.
How do I pair my Iphone?

    Bump. I have the same issue. Garmin, do you care to provide customer service to people that bought your expensive scale or give us more reasons to switch to a cheaper alternative that also doesn’t provide customer service?

    I had same issue even though we were connected.  To connect you need to go under main user of smart scale and go to manage connections in the smart scale and send invite to other user.  It is confusing when you are connected but not under the device.
