Pairing New Index S2 Scale

I've tried for an hour to pair this very expensive scale that is useless without the app. I have a Samsung Android. I've tried resetting the scale, restarting my phone and pins of 0000 and 1234. Please help as I'm extremely aggravated about to return the scale and never buy another Garmin product again.

For whatever reason, eventually the scale rendered a pairing code and it worked. My next complaint is that the body fat and muscle composition numbers are skewed. I will start a different thread for that complaint.
