Accuracy of the scale is not satisfactory

I bought the Index S2 Smart Scale just last week. Today I thought I would check how accurate the weighing actually is. So I took four 2.5kg weights, weighed them on my old smart scale, and then did the same on the new Index S2 Smart scale.

The old scale showed the correct weight of 10kg, but the new scale showed a weight of 9.9kg. I also weighed myself on both scales, and the results differ by more than 1kg.

Is this to be expected? What is the claimed accuracy of the Index S2 Smart Scale? Can it be callibrated?

F.y.i. I followed the instructions from the My Index S2 Is Showing an Incorrect Weight Measurement support article, and it did't help.

  • You have 4 weights thats are calibrated each to 2.5kgs?

Or you have four weights from walmart(or other generic store brand weights)?

all scales come with a +-  %error and the fact that your old scale measured 10kg doesn’t actually mean it is correct since you arnt using specialized weights that are guaranteed to be 2.5kgs.

At the end of the day .1k is 1% error if those weights you are using are actually 2.5kgs. I guess if they are eleikos they should be.

  • These are four weights, each calibrated to 2.5kgs. And my other scales showing them to be exactly 10kgs would be too big a coincident.
