My scale says my body water is 75% of my body weight regardless of my exercise status. I get the same exact number before and after a long hard run. Is there some way of calibrating this scale? Advice? Suggestions?

scales usually use the bioimpedance analysis (BIA) method. This method measures the resistance to electrical current passing through body tissue and based on this determines the water content. but this method is not accurate and is influenced by various factors such as hydration level, exercise and others.
what can you do. you should be well hydrated before measuring. Lack of water or excess water in the body can affect the results.
take measurements at the same time of day
Taking measurements in the morning after going to the toilet may help improve the accuracy of the results.
