Reliability Garmin Index S2

Dear all,

I am a great fan of Garmin products (I love my Fenix 6S Pro) but I am heavily disappointed by the Index S2 scale.

As you can see from the screenshot I increased the amount of sports I do quiet significantly during the last 8 months.

During the same period I lost almost 6 kg of overall weight (so far so good).

But there is a problem when I am looking at the %body fat and the muscle mass. According to the scale I lost almost only muscle and almost no body fat. This is simply not possible considering that I am not on a diet but just heavily increased my activity level. Furthermore this is not what I see looking into the mirror.

From that I conclude that the %body fat measurement is completely unreliable making the device basically useless.

Quiet a disappointment considering the price of the scale.

If you have any advices that would fix that issue please let me know.

PS: The scale is on the latest FW and I did set my activity level correctly in the Garmin App (why do I need to do this manually if my watch is tracking it anyway?).

Best,

Michael
