Problems with FW update

I got the notice and tried to update my Index S2 and am having problems. I watched the video a couple of times and followed the instructions, but every time I get to the point where I press reset to get to the gear icon, then hold the reset down I never see the flashing gear icon, wifi sync and then the progress bar. Mine always seems to end up with the bluetooth icon, and a scale icon with 4 dots to a Garmin Connect icon. I have let it sit there for 30 mins with no change. I know the scale and wifi were working as my weight was updated on Garmin Connect this AM .

Anyone else have problems or does anyone have any suggestions b4 I call support? TIA

same problem. But unfortunately, I accidentally dropped my index on the 10th+ time trying to get it to update while holding itup close to my wifi router, and when it hit my carpeted floor the glass top popped off! It's now toast.

You can also force the Index 2 to look for updates by connecting it to your phone (push reset button), go to Wi-Fi settings, test internet connection and then go back to the GCM home screen.

I called support and we removed it from the Connect App and BT connections. Then re-added it into the Connect App and everything proceeded automatically and completed. All is good. Thanks for all the advice.

Thanks man. It was costly clumsy accident. On the upside, it prompted me to order a Withings Body+. Reported to be accurate. I don't need body comp. automatically synced with Garmin Connect - so I won't miss that functionallity. I only use GC for tracking bike workouts and sleep quality (via Fenix 7). Hope the update works out for everyone else.
