After SW 3.00 - No Networks Found / Invalid Password / Blinking WiFi icon + Red X when syncing

Hello,

yesterday my index S2 upgraded to firmware 3.00.

Today I saw that:

User settings were not synced, which means that no usernames are on the scale, only empty persons with question marks.

Date and Time settings are also not synced and do not change after several measurements. (I switched to 24h in the app)

I did:

1) Factory reset

2) removed the scale from Garmin web interface and from the Garmin app

3) Re-attached the scale again via Garmin app (and yes, I of course removed indexS2 from bluetooth settings)

4) Did 2) and 3) several times

5) Tried to install the firmware again via the manual process. Did not work since 3.00 is already on the scale...

6) Deleted the WLAN connection and attached it again

7) Switched to another WLAN

4) Replaced the batteries and did 1), 2) 3), 6) again.

Nothing helped. the scale still does not show the user(s) I attached to the Garmin app and does not sync weight.

And I also noticed that after trying to sync a red X appears in the upper left corner of the scale for a short time.

Any hints?

    After the upgrade it let's me setup the wifi.  The wifi symbol shows up on the scale but the flashes and goes away.  If I remove the wifi and use my phone as a tether and setup that wifi it works fine and will sync.

    Two Scenarios:

    1) FritzBox: connect to wifi network via GC, scale says Connection ok! But Wifi symbol flashes, red X after some time and no sync.

    2) Old router (Apple) or phone hotspot: connect to network via GC, scale says Connection ok! Wifi symbol stable and does not flash, green checkmark, sync ok.

    Yes. And Garmin Connect states that the Wi-Fi setup is incomplete even though it isn't.

    Garmin Connect Shows No Error Fritzbox Show me the svale when i Turn it in.

    I have a a bigger issue and can't find any solution to it - the FW for S2 been at 1.49 for the past 2 years and nothing I do would budge it to update. To anything never happens. Garmin Connect just shows "Software is up to date — Version 1.49 " Full stop.

    confirm.  Wifi setup was complete.  data on the scale was updated.  the additional user was added.  metrics are being recorded.  However, it will not sync any data to the garmin account.  I see the wifi icon but then the scale has the update icon for about 3-4 mins and then stops.  no error on GC app.

    My scale is working on 2.4 GHz WiFi after upgrade to 3.0 without connection problems.

    I decided for the manual process of FW upgrade as explained in the first post about 3.0 rollout.

    So I received a message from Garmin support which was useless it was just the link to the new Wi-Fi security requirements.  I am not using WEP so there was no need to call that out.  Ironically I tried this out on my phone hotspot and it worked. However it still doesn’t work on my home network which is WPA2

    Same here. Very, very annoying and time-consuming. I have WPA2, reconnected to wifi (no password error), reset the scale, did everything in my powers but it just doesn't connect to wifi, although the iOS app says 'succesfully connected' on the wifi page.
