Index S2 Smart Scale: Stuck on "Stage: Test"

Recently this problem occurred where whatever I do I cannot get the screen to wake up unless I press the reset button or remove a battery. The one thing that showed up was what's shown in the pictures, some sort of test stage, a taring mode; no matter how long you stand on it, to complete the taring, it just starts over and over.

Anyone got any idea how I can fix this?

Same problem here. Maybe an update that's gone wrong??

I reached out to support yesterday, and it seems there is no solution, as they offered to replace the scale. So, I suppose I'm getting a new one and sending this one back.

They suggested the following:

Before replacing the battery, did you put the old battery upside down in the battery holder for about 30 seconds?
-> This causes the module to discharge from the residual voltage completely and is considered a reset of the module.
-> This also ensures that the following batteries will last longer."

However, this did not work for me, might for you, and otherwise I suggest you reach out to support as well, it doesn't seem to have a fix
