The support for Index S2 is a joke

Why is Garmin ignoring us and not doing anything? What a joke.

If Garmin actually cared about users they should have pulled this product off the shelves so people won't buy a malfunctioning product. It literally doesn't do 90% of it's features accurately. We are paying a premium for this "smart" scale to just measure our weight and nothing else.

If this was another company that holds their reputation with high regard and respects their loyal customers they would have made a recall or compensated them. This is crazy how Garmin is able to get away with this scam. Again, what a joke.

I have 6 different Garmin products. This is the most ridiculous, piece of garbage ever. Sorry if I do not give details but I do not have enough time to spend describing the frustrations with it, accuracy…

Can only presume it's been given limited resources as it probably hasn't sold very well (never mind the fact it's been difficult to get hold of). That being said, I do agree with you. There's so many quirks and issues that need to be addressed, and most of them seem to fall on deaf ears.

I thought they going to fix the problem , but it’s been over a year and nothing , this machine killing me mentally every day , search for other brand .

I have 6 different Garmin products. This is the most ridiculous, piece of garbage ever. Sorry if I do not give details but I do not have enough time to spend describing the frustrations with it, accuracy, sync, update(not) - wise.

I recently bought an index s2 used from ebay. It is in excellent condition but it is hopeless.

It takes a very long time to settle on a reading and when it does the weight is under reading by 12kg to 18kg. Forget body fat accuracy, mine can't even do what my $20 scale does.

Have to agree with this, I got an S1 and then an S2. More fool me.

Piece of junk that just does weight and zero support.

In my case the weight is almost always spot on. The other metrics, well that's a different story.

Are you possibly storing the scale vertically? Sometimes this will throw of the weight by 2 or 3 kg (the weight of the scale itself), but not 18. I would definitely contact Garmin Support or your retailer to get a refund or exchange.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

The scale is permanently sitting on a flat concrete floor in the room I use for indoor cycling so I don't move it.

I zero it before every use but it makes no difference.

I also left the batteries out overnight and installed a fresh set the next day. After the battery change the weight error is at the lower end of the range but the error is not even consistent.

I visited the garmin support page and it wasn't helpful but I did find an email address after a google search ([email protected]). No idea how long it will take to get a response.

Thank you for the email address, I just resent my email to that one.

I did see that contact box but when I selected 'chat' it said online support for the S2 is not available and I *really* don't like talking on the phone.
