Is the user problem already solved with the Software version 2.08 update?

Good day,

I bought the S2 smart scale yesterday, unaware that it had this bug, that it over wifi with a router can't connect. Luckily it works with a mobile hotspot as also suggested in this forum.

The last software version on this scale is 1.49, so i was wondering now if the connection problem has been solved with the last update, as i can not see any more posts on this matter newer then 2 months ago?

    sorry to hear you're having issues. From my experience, the Wi-Fi sync works without issues. That being said, keep in mind two things:

    1) make sure you have 2.4GHz channel available on your router, 5GHz only won't cut it

    2) if you do have 2.4GHz band on but its SSID (Wi-Fi network name you connect your devices to) is the same as the 5GHz one, you'll likely encounter issues too. Solution is as simple as making sure each band has unique SSID (name)

    If none of the above helps solve your issue, try restarting your router / redo the connection procedure on the scale from scratch. If that doesn't work, reach out to Garmin for the next steps.
