Index S2 Smart scam BMI off by 100%

My smart scale is over 100% off on reporting BMI and body fat %. I’m 6’7” at 265 lbs and lean enough to be showing abs. My last body fat test a few months ago showed 12% and this scale is saying I’m 30% plus.

I bought the scale from Backcountry and don’t want to pay for a shipping label to return a scale that clearly has accuracy issues. This scale is absolutely useless to me if I cannot get additional readings outside of my weight. I received the item a few days ago.

Please let me know if there is any way to fix the issue or if there’s a way to be reimbursed for the return label to Backcountry.com.

I've got the exact same issue. I'm 5'10" 193 and like you 12-13% BF from hydro testing but S2 is reporting 29.7% BF. Purchased through Backcountry and received three days ago.

Garmin Connect initially set me at an activity level of 8 (29.7%) when I adjust to 10 (highest) it dropped BF to 24.7% still more than 11% too high. Garmin has either a bad measurement circuit or a useless algorithm either way it doesn't justify $140. Too bad I was look forward to the connectivity with my 830 and Fenix6. Garmin are you listening?
