I have just tested Index S2 changing only my age. I have compared it with a Tanita and a Withings scales.
Me. 48 years Triathlete not pro. Right now off-season, finishing the recovery process after an injury.
Height 1.90m
Precompetition BF%7-%9.
Today weight Tanita RD545: 78.6kg BF% 11.9% BW% 63.5 Bone Mass: 3.4Kg
Withings Body Cardio+: 78.6kg BF:12.0% BW% 63.3
Index S2:
1st test: Age 48 (Real) 78.7Kg BF% 15.7 BW% 61.6 Bone Mass:4.9Kg
2nd test (2min later) Age 28 78.7 Kg BF% 13.5 BW% 63.2 Bone Mass 5.8Kg
3rd test (1 min later) Age 22 78.6 Kg BF% 12.6 BW% 63.8 Bone Mass 6Kg
4th test (1 min later) Age 20 78.6Kg BF% 12.6% BW% 63.8 Bone Mass 6.1 Kg
After the test, I seems clear the algorithm depends on Age and not only that the Body water and body Mass change too.
Please Garmin could you tell me how is this possible?
