Data on top of each other

Hi. I’ve been weighing myself consistently for the last few months, using a Garmin Index, a Garmin Vivofit, and the Garmin Connect iOS App. All was well until yesterday. Now, whenever I check the graph of my progress, it shows several days data on top of each other. Howcan I fix this?

  • Did you possibly weigh yourself more than once on those days? Or someone else got on the scale?

  • I did weigh myself more than once. And I'm the only one who used the scale. But there should only be one blue dot per day, which represents the days' final weigh-in. The grey column represents the max and min for that particular day.

For example, the dot on the extreme right shows that I only weighed myself once that day, hence why its only one blue dot. The previous day, I weighed myself several times. They grey column shows the max and min weights for that day, and the blue dot shows the last weight of that day.

But look at the measurement before that. It shows TWO blue dots, and TWO grey columns, for a single day. That shouldn't be the case.

This picture is a 7 day overview. They grey dots along the bottom represent the days / dates. Count the dots and columns, 7 of each. Lets assume it started on a Monday - what we are seeing is nothing for Mon, then Mon and Tue on Tuesdays date, Wed is ok, nothing for Thurs, Thurs and Fri on Fridays date, Sat is ok, and Sun is ok.

Why is this happening? It was working fine until a few days ago. Some sort of software glitch?

  • Is this the original Index or the Index S2?

  • OK, I've moved your thread for better visibility, even though this might indeed be an issue with Garmin Connect Mobile iOS.

  • Hello! If you force close your app and relaunch it so it refreshes, is their any difference? If not, I can reach out to you. We collect some information and screen shots and send this to our team.

  • Hi. How do you "force close" it?

Interestingly, this morning it had righted itself. Everything was ok until I did my first morning weigh-in. First of all, it didn't update for like 25 minutes, but when it did, it was ok. A while later, I weighted myself again. This time, it updated quickly enough, but the same issue occurred!

If I uninstalled and re-installed the app, would I lose my data?

  • You will not lose your data, but uninstalling the app is not necessary.  On the iPhone double click the home button, then all the apps running in the background show up, then you swipe the Garmin App up and it closes it. Can you try this please?
