Index S2 Weight and Body Fat

Hi,

Had the Index S2 for a while now but I'm getting confused when looking at the measurements.

This morning, same location for the scale (same tile, same angle and same cloth :-)), weight increased by 600g (might be, even though should not be) but the body fat is the main issue and cause for concern.

I measured myself twice, back to back with one minute time difference, and I got on the first attempt a Body fat of 27.7 and then 28!! while the weight is same. (this is the second time I see this when I test back to back)

I appreciate having some advice or feedback as I'm counting on the Index for diet and workouts.

Thanks

Talal

  • body fat is known to be a joke on these scales.

general weight i had assumed you couldn't go too far wrong but was also wondering about the accuracy there given that i am seeing small but significant variations between the S2 and my old fitbit scales. no way of knowing which is correct but given all the issues with the garmins i'm more inclined to trust fitbit. there is no consistency to the variations - sometimes garmin is higher, sometimes lower...

i haven't tried repeated weigh-ins at the same time, variation like that certainly indicates something is wrong!
