Why there are no Index S2 available just anywhere?

I have one ordered and waiting more than one month in a big european retailer. But searching the web, there are no alternatives, nobody seems to have it stock. This is strange. It seems there was a first batch, and then... puuuff! 

I guess the few places that have one, could be a remaining unit from that first batch. 

Could have been something wrong with the first units ? Why this totally lack of supply?

    Ok, maybe a Brexit or distribution licence condition then because they are in stock for UK based customers.

    Garmin Canada website has been saying "product available in 7-10 days" for at least 5 months....

    i don't have an answer but after waiting 2 months for mine i finally got it and wish i hadn't. the body composition readings are so completely wrong as to be a joke. will probably be sending it back so one more in stock for you if you want it!

    In my region, too, there are problems with availability. The online stores say that the product will arrive soon.

    I'm in Canada and have been not so patiently waiting since December 2020, and it's now March 2021.  It's frustrating that the Garmin site has said 7-10 business days this whole time; clearly nobody is updating this.  I contacted Garmin today and they said Mar 16 to get more units in the USA warehouse, then 2-3 weeks after that before the Canadian warehouse will have any.  I wish I could simply pre-order and reserve one

    Mine shipped from Garmin today so right in line with  what you were told, hope you get it in a couple weeks from now.

    in germany still no delivery date in sight... right now the shop has it a 20th of april, but the date gets pushed every week

    There are units available in the States but retailers are not sending them across the border to Canada (unless you want to double the final price with shipping and duty charges). Any time that I have chatted in to a rep from the site it’s consistently been the three weeks to a month response. Is anyone hearing from Garmin a definitive on when the Black version or White version will be released in Canada?

    My brand loyalty isn’t diminished - there are multiple factors impacting this release obviously- but am feeling frustrated by the lack of transparency.

    How has your experience been so far?  Still no product in Canada, and with the many posts about wildly inaccurate body fat readings, I am seriously questioning whether I even want the Index S2 anymore.
