What do the measurements mean?

I love it!  I did not have the original Garmin scale so I don't have that to compare to, but I thought it was super easy to connect and set up. I love the display and I don't find it difficult to wake it up.  It updated right away as soon as I turned it on and transfer of data is instant to Connect.

The only complaint I have right now is not with the scale itself but with the lack of information to help you understand your measurements.  I wish there were charts in the manual or in the app to give you an idea of what the healthy zones are with each of the measurements.  I mean, I have no idea what these numbers mean without a chart showing how I compare to other women my age.  How would I know if my body water percentage was good?  Where should my BMI be?  Or maybe I missed it somewhere?  I have bought scales like this in the past and they always provide charts for you to compare yourself to.

  • Hi, the same. I got it yesterday and need to get used to it. The measurements I think are highly individual, although there may be some guidance. So far just know, that my BMI is 24,7, which is just on the border to be overweighted, although at VO2 max screen of my watch Garmin says I am still 20 years old in my 46 Slight smile

  • I am finding some info online.  There are guidelines for where you should approximately be within these measurements based on your gender and age.  I'm just surprised that Garmin didn't include any of that in the help pages of the app where they briefly describe what each of the measurements is telling you.  Without the gender/age guidelines, the numbers really don't mean anything.
