Bounce overheating and won't turn in

Newish Bounce watch.  While at school it turned off.  Son tried to charge it at home because it wouldn't turn back on.  It got hot!!!

Is this a common thing?

They are sending replacement as it's under warranty. 

Anyone else have issues like this?
