Garmin Bounce - set weather unit to Celsius not working

Hello,

I got two Bounces for my kids last December. All works great except that the temperature unit for the weather in the watch is stuck to Fahrenheit.

In the watch settings, under system - units, we selected Km and Celsius, but the temperature of the weather app is always shown in Fahrenheit.

There is no settings for units in the Android app.

We are Europeans living in NY and we hate the Imperial system: this is most likely a bug already signaled to Garmin, is there any plan to fix it or does anybody have any workaround?

Thanks!

  • Currently, the unit of measurement will be displayed on the locale you have set on your phone. However, I'll add you to our report that is tracking the amount of impacts regarding this setting.

  • Nope, my phone is already set to Celsius in the regional settings. But I am not talking about the unit of temperature shown in the Garmin junior app in my phone. I am talking about the temperature shown in the screen of the watches, always stuck to fahrenheit no matter what....

  • I'm having the same issue! Any resolution???

  • Yes, I give you the solution that worked for me: in the Android phone you used to pair with thr watch, go to Settings-System-Languages-Regional Preferences and change your temperature unit. Then pair the watch again with your phone. Then reboot your watch, you should see the temp in Celsius

  • Thank you so much for your help. I went and did this. Unpaired. Repaired. Rebooted. Alas. Still stuck in F. I had such high hope lol.  I'm going to retry tomorrow and see if I missed something in my fatigue tonight. Appreciate your help!!

  • Omg! I changed the settings to my phone. Deleted the Garmin jr app. Redownloaded. Repaired. Rebooted. FIXED!!!!!!! thank you so so so so much!!!
