I noticed that the Bounce does not allow the messaging/voice or the rewards tracking function without an LTE subscription. Seems odd that the rewards tracking is behind this paywall. I understand that the location tracking functions may rely on the LTE but messaging and rewards should ideally be able to function on WiFi even without the LTE subscription.
This will allow the watch to also be used on vacation for messaging if in an area without the LTE coverage. Would also allow the watches to be used for chore /activity reminders and messaging devices that function on WiFi if families want to take a break from the LTE subscription.
If LTE also causes the battery drain issue that others are reporting then allowing the Wi-Fi only option would also help.
Garmin team could you please enable messaging and the rewards functionality on WiFi without an active LTE subscription?
