Can you create groups in Garmin Jr?

It would be nice if I could set up family as just my wife and I so that not everyone added as a contact gets messaged in the family chat.

    we really need people assigned Caregiver removed from the family chat.  Or the ability to add specific contacts to family.

    This feels like pretty basic feature that is missing.

    I agree, if the kids can only message everyone it's going to be like crying wolf - the extended family will tune out and not check when it is actually important. As someone else said, can we at least get a group for "Guardians" separate from the whole "Family" that might include up to 20 contacts?

    The more the girls use their watches, the more important this feature is becoming.  Grandparents had to disable notifications because it was overwhelming for them.  This defeats the purpose of the watch a bit.  Older sister also (26) also disabled notifications.

    The girls love their Bounces and my wife and I enjoy the interaction so do not want to dissuade them from using the Family chat.

    Separating Family and Guardians for chat would be an awesome new feature!

    Agree. Family needs to be a specific subset of Contacts, only, that is user selectable. Also, we need a group that can message but has no location access.

    My wife and were discussing this being a potential future update and it occurred to me that another option we should have is to schedule location/notification access to contacts for weekend stays with the grandparents, a night with the babysitter, etc. That way, the parents don’t have to change permission levels and forget making the temporary caregiver get non-stop notifications until the parent remembers to change permissions, just schedule them for a duration and location access/notifications/etc expires when the predetermined time is done.
