I hope the developers read this forum.

I have had a chance to see the radar and while I like the use of the standard Garmin quick mount I can see one day my leaving the rear radar attached to the bike, returning only to find it gone.

Possible solutions

1) Always remember to remove it. Never work I'm not perfect

2) A locking mount. I would like this anyway just for peace of mind. If my Edge should ever become detached I would quickly notice but a unit mounted under my seat?

3) Once only pairing. If the unit could only be paired with the head unit once at least if stolen I would know it was useless without the matching head unit. I'm sure the software guys could work out a neat system so via my.garmin I would get an unlock code if I need to pair with another head unit.

My ideal would be to have both 2 and 3 and mot rely on 1 as my wife will tell you I'm not perfect.

What if you decide to switch head units or sell a radar?

Such functionality is really limiting your rights, and also can me implemented incorrectly, and it might fail to pair the moment you really need it.

One other thing to consider, the first two iterations of the radar broadcast exclusively over ANT+ ... and ANY device can receive that communication. So there's really no way to lock the radar to a specific device.
