Varia Vue 5.40 using cell plan to download video $$$

My brand new Varia Vue camera/light with Varia Vue 5.40, when I connect Varia app on iPhone to VUE and want to download video, it requires joining the "VARIA WIFI NETWORK".  It then switches to LTE instead of my home WIFI. 

I don't have unlimited data.

I'm doing this at home and want it to use WIFI. 

But it is using cell data. 

Why does  varia vue use cell data to download video from my iphone when I'm at home on wifi. This is using my LTE plan and costing money when wi-fi is free. Is this correct?

    The app is transferring the video files from the memory card on the Varia Vue unit to your phone via a local WiFi network created by the unit itself - no cellular data required surely?
