I would like to charge RCT715 while in use, the operating time of 4-5 hours is not enough, please enable external charging in the software

I want to use the device not only for short workouts, but also for multi-day hikes and time-lapse travel videos, but the battery capacity is very low. It would be necessary for it to be able to be charged continuously. Why does the software disable recording while charging?

Should work with an external power source. I do that without issue. What type of power source are you using.

powerbank, which could charge everything so far, while charging, the video and radar do not work, they are disabled

Try using a different cable. Most cables are both power and data, but if you have one that is just power that might fix the issue.

The problem is not the charger or the cable. The device is either charging or recording, it won't do both at the same time.

That is because it is incorrectly thinking it is connected to a PC based on what it is seeing over the cable. Hence the suggestion of a power only cable as that would prevent it seeing anything over the data pins and would prevent it entering that mode.

I have used it many times with a simple lipstick style power source with no issues.
