Camera / radar widget missing after fw 6.10 upgrade

I upgraded the firmware of my RCT715 camera/radar to latest v6.10, and the widget on my Edge 1040 has disappeared.

I tried multiple times to add the widget through the setting, but it doesn't show it. I have restarted both devices multiple times but it's the same. It was working smoothly before this fw upgrade.

The camera controls are now part of the home page overlay.

When on a training page tap the screen to bring up the home page overlay. You will now see an option that will give you access to the camera controls.

So, now instead of quick swipe down from any screen, we have to go to home page and then scroll through items to bring up the camera page, all while we are riding !

Was Garmin goal here to make it more difficult and dangerous to take a photo or save a clip?

Wrong. The screenshot in aweatheralls link shows clearly:
You only have to tap the screen once, no swipe necessary. Then on the upper part of the screen there are the controls. Similar to hazard reporting.
