Garmin Varia USB C - when will the time finally come?

"EU common charger rules" only apply to new devices. Garmin can sell their 515 for ages without violating this law.

Not sure but I won’t buy one until they update.

I won't be buying the current version either, I'm waiting for a usb c connection. I don't currently have a device at home with an old connection, so i will avoid buying a new device with an old connection!

There are categories of devices the rules apply to.
I don’t think only one person in the EU bureaucracy who had something to do with the directive knows that bike radar devices are a thing. The EU commission published a fact sheet you can download here:

wich lists the categories of devices affected.

I have been holding off as well - two years now.  I very much like Garmin and want to stay in this ecosystem but there is no way I'm going to invest in something without a USB c power connection.  If it gets too far into the season I'll start looking at other solutions
