Is there a RTL515 bicycle rear fender mount?

I was riding last week and saw someone on a Trek touring bike with what appeared to be an RTL515 mounted on the rear fender.  I didn’t have a chance to talk to the cyclist, but did a web search and didn’t find any Garmin or aftermarket fender mount.

I’m about to do a transcontinental bike tour, and with all the gear attached to my bike, the usual Varia mounting points won’t work.

So I thought I’d reach out here.

Does anyone know about a fender mount for the RTL515, and could you post a link?

Thanks!

  • I’ve never seen a fender mount. But Amazon sells a bunch of different mounts, many of which can be tweaked and modified to work on other parts of the bike. That’s what I did to attach my Varia to an older rack.

  • Look into Go Pro mounts, there is a huge world of mounting options.  Get a quarter turn Garmin adapter like this

    Garmin to GoPro adapter

Then Google away at Go Pro mounts that you can use this adapter for.

I personally use saddle rail mounts for my Varia because I needed my seatpost on the gravel bike for mounting a fender and seatposts on the mountain bikes are dropper posts.  I see Garmin makes their own branded one now, mine were aftermarket brand and cost less.

  • Look at KOM mounts (komcycling.com). They have a small seat bag with a quarter-turn mount on the back and also various other mounts that can be adapted fairly easily. I mounted some on the remains of cheap reflectors so I could put the Varia on a luggage rack.

  • All, many thanks for this info.

Ironically, the only actual radar fender mount I was able to find was for the new Trek CarBack radar unit. Blush
