How do I prevent the Varia app from being killed / losing bluetooth connection in the background?

Hi,

I have an Android phone, Pixel 7 pro, with the Varia App set to "Unrestricted" battery usage. However the app, or the Bluetooth connection, or both, is eventually killed after a few minutes in the background.

I need to hear the audible Vaira alerts come through my bone vibrating headphones when riding. But when I'm on another mapping app, Varia stops working.

How do I prevent this from happening? Thank you.

I forgot to add: The Connect app never closes in the background. I get lap and other audible alerts just fine through that, just not the Varia alerts.
