UT800 smart use

Hello,

Just got the UT800 headlight. I paired it with my Edge, so the Edge turns the headlight on and off.

However after switching the headlight off, it stays in "smart mode" with the blue LED blinking.

I can switch it off completely but then the Edge can't detect the light of course, which defeats the smart function of the light.

Should I just leave it in "smart mode"? Won't that drain the battery?

Standby by mode has a very low current draw.

Look at the UT800 spec. Manual says up to a year battery life in standby.

Depends on what is meant with "standby".
