I have the RT515 radar. LOVE IT.
I wrote a little custom data field to monitor the actual voltage and battery status. On a 225-mile ride Saturday, I found that it went from NEW to GOOD to OK and didn't enter LOW state until over 11.5 hours into the ride. That is awesome. I keep it on BLINK mode the whole time.
However, if I tap the radar's button one more time to turn off the light, my Garmin reports that the RADAR is disconnected.
What I expected and desired was for the light to be off and the radar to work. To get more run time. I have a 2nd tail light.
I can achieve this using the ANT controls from the light widget from my EDGE 1030 computer... where I can turn off the radar's light snd the radar still works.
So it seems like this might be a bug in the RADAR's button sequence, where the button press following blink mode does turn off the light, but also disconnects the radar from the EDGE unit.
Or am I doing something wrong?
