The SN of RTL510 and RTL515 battery?

Thanks for your post! But the operation will be performed by mobile phone repair shop and they are aware of that. They already open one and are waiting for the new spare compatible battery's.

This would not be a problem if garmin constructs devices where the user can do essential repair like changing the rechargeable battery. I hope that the law will change and manufacturer has to buildings devices where the user can change parts and not throw them away or pay the manufacturer to do simple repair.

well, the process was not realy easy, but after a few month of studing and search from a friend of mine, it was possible to change both bateries for 30 €. 

Hi Lord_of_the_Weather, where did you find the battery for the Varia 510? There is supposedly a replacement available on Amazon with a much lower capacity than the original (950 instead of 1400 mAh), but in fact this battery does not match the Varia 510, the charging voltage is too low, and the radar reports an error at the end of charging.

This is my battery which didn't survive a trip inside the washing machine. Could you please share the solution to your problem? Finding a compatible battery is quite a hassle :/
