Varia RDU not turning on

Hi all,

I bought a Varia RTL510 + RDU used on OfferUp. I was able to pair the RTL to my Edge 830, and it works perfectly fine. But the RDU does not turn on. I have tried everything (charged it overnight, connected it to the computer, pressed the power button for 1/8/15/30+ seconds). Nothing on it. But when it is charging, I see the green blinking light.

Can anyone help me. Is this a known issue? Is my RDU toast?

    Sounds like it was dead when they sold it to you.

    The following should reset the RDU

    • Press longer than 10 seconds will cause a hard device reset.

    Tried doing that. Pressed it for 30 seconds and nothing. Did multiple combinations too.

    * Pressed the power button for 30 seconds while it was charging. Nothing.

    * Unplugged it from charge. Pressed the button for 30 seconds. Plugged in the charger at the 10 second mark. Nothing.

    * Pressed the button for 30 seconds when it was unhooked from the charger. Nothing.

    I am lost for options now.
