Battery life on 515 vs 315 doesn't make sense

The 315 lasts for 6-7 hours. But the specs for the version with the light, which isn't that much bigger and heavier, quotes up to 15 hours. That can't possibly be with both the light AND the radar unit going, can it? If that's actually the case, why would anybody buy the 315 when for only $50 more you can get double the battery life out of the 515?

What am I missing? Thanks!

I would love to know the answer to this too. I have a 515 and have just completed a 7 hour sportive, even with it on flash mode it didn't quite last the 7 hours, not even close to the upto 15 hours advertised.
