What is the RLT510 battery life supposed to be? Mine seems like it's dying.

Yesterday I started my ride with a fully charged battery. (Pulled it off the charger just before rolling out.) After 3:07 into my ride, I got the "radar low battery" alert on my Edge 830. It was in default mode. Three hours doesn't seem very long... Is it possible mine is dying? The ambient temperature was 30 degrees F, so maybe that had something to do with it, but still, it should last longer than three hours, right?

Cold weather certainly effects battery life.

What mode was the light in? I usually run mine in day flash and it lasts quite a long time.

If the radar spent several months at the bottom of a drawer during winter season, then it is possible that battery indication got out of whack. Try two or three discharge/recharge cycles.

It was in the default mode, which I think is solid on, and then flashes when a car comes up from behind.

Which mode is day flash? Is that the one that alternates between bright and dim, and then flash with an upcoming car?

Day flash that the light is at high intensity but only flashes periodically ... and blinks fast when a car approaches.

I have the RTL510 too and mine is set to "Auto".
