Varia UT800 and Edge Remote => doesn't work at all...Q

I've connected my new UT800 to my Edge 830 without any problems. I can control the Headlight with the Edge, but I can't switch it on with the Edge Remote. I've defined short press of the action key as "lights on", but nothing happens when I press the button. Would be great if I could switch the UT800 on AND off with the Edge Remote, but this seems completely impossible.

Any solutions to this problem?

By the way: Is there any newer firmware for the UT800 than 2.40? Garmin Express is able to detect the lamp but then it says that I should press 'yes' on the device, but there is obviously no possibility to do so. Long and short press of the button doesn't work here. And if I choose 'software update' on the Edge, nothing happes either. Lots of things seem to go wrong here...

Edge remote can only control Edge units

So it simply was a translation error that mislead me to thinking that this could work!

That refers to the backlight of the Edge unit
