My brand new Varia 515 only connects to either Rader or Light, never all at the same time

So I bought a RTL515 yesterday and was excited to use it for my daily NYC commute. I tried to pair the 515 with my Edge 1030 by adding it as a new sensor (when purple pairing indicator light is flashing)

It will find the light, and prompt me that it's connecting to a light network, and then add a "Light" and a "Radar" to my profile.

But when I try to use the 515, the radar drop out of network and only "Light" is connected, and sometimes if I restart the 515, "Radar" shows up and "Light" gets dropped out of network, never have I able to have both "Light" and "Radar" all running at the same time.

I thought my 1030 plus is bad, so I then tried to connect the 515 to my cellphone using bluetooth. Exact same problem, the Varia app on my iPhone is only able to connect to "Light" but not able to use "Radar"...

Am I the only one having this issue? Going to return it tomorrow to the store, so disappointed.

    Don't pair it as a standalone Radar, only as a Light. Then the radar functionality will be included.

    Thanks for the suggestion, apparently it takes quite a while to form the "Light Network" and I didn't wait long enough before pairing mode was complete to play with the sensor settings, causing the radar to not pair correctly. Waited for 1 min on pairing after resetting the 515 and it now performs flawlessly.
